Under this umbrella, we collect several projects focussed at fostering the active discovery, the communication of know-how and the collection of data about the Tangible and Intangible Heritage of Cairo.
“Take a coffee with your heritage!” is the second step of our action on communicating Heritage, started with the international conference “Downtown Cairo. Sharing competences about documenting and communicating heritage” (24-25 March 2012). The project target at improving the dialogue between experts on heritage and the inhabitants of Downtown, to start sharing know-how from one side and histories, legends, personal experiences from the other. If you want to be part of the project, please contact us! These Downtown projects are funded by the DAAD, German Academic Exchange Service and the GUC.
“Take a Juice with your heritage!” aims at involving children in discussing, experiencing, experimenting the historic city.
